I can do that on the pictures but not with the text/fonts. Any suggestions.

Yes, I would recommend Quark for the job you need done. There are some free tutorials at lynda.com that should help you get started. It would help if we knew what operating system and the version of Quark you are working with.

On Windows platform, do not use the enter key that is with the number pad. That'll give you a hard return. Use the enter key that is to the left of the arrow keys.

With Photoshop CS2, from the Help menu, select Export Transparent Image and follow the wizard. It'll ask you to save as an eps file. We always save as a tiff and it shows up with a transparent background in Quark.Here's another way also:http://www.lehigh.edu/~inimr/photoshop_7/photo6_trans.html

We use the JoDrop extension for our drag and drop on a PC XP. Will this new extension work along side JoDrop? Thank you.

Bleed Size 8 1/2 x 11 1/8 (make your text box 8.5 x 22.25)Page Trim Size: 8 3/8'' x 10-7/8''(make the next box 8.375 x 21.75) Live size: 7 7/8 x 10 3/8 (7.875 x 20.75)Use Space and Align to center the 3 smaller ones and your done. There may be a much better way of doing this, but I don't know what it is. I'm on a PC with 7.31. I hope this helps.

I have from version 4 to 7.31 on my Windows XP machine. Is it okay to uninstall all of the previous versions? I am trying to free up some hard drive space.

We have just finished our first local 64 page magazine using Quark 7.3. We are pleased with the new features and the ease of operation. We use Windows XP.We now plan to update to 7.31.We want to thank Quark's employees for assisting us as needed.
