I have a 30 page "yellow pages"-type document. It has a main text box with a lot of 2- and 3-line listings.  However, about 25 of the listings per page get a small boxed ad. I've never had a client do that before, and I've never used those keys for shortcuts, so I didn't even know it would screw up the keyboard :-) Thanks, again!  

Unbelieveable! It is the shortcut thing -- thanks so much for the help. It's a new client and it just didn't occur to me to check their styles -- sure enough that was the problem.

When I try to use the numbers pad on my keyboard (Mac), Quark doesn't accept the input in text boxes or in fileds, like the view percentage at the bottom left of a page window. Sometimes one or two of the numbers will show up. For example, I prefer to use the numbers pad to enter phone numbers, but of the 7 numbers, only a couple of them ...
