In the export options or in the print menu, you need to put a higher DPI setting under Transparency, both for Vector Images and Drop Shadows. Try to set it to 600 dpi or higher.

Obviously as Quark is able to produce a correct postscript that your printer can process, it has to work. A few ideas:
1) apply the general #1 troubleshooting step of resetting the Quark preferences - that is, go into Macintosh HD/Users/(your user)/Library/Preferences/Quark and rename your QuarkXPress 7.0 folder to QuarkXPress_something else. ...
