Greetings,

I have to import some large XML documents into QuarkXPress version 7 before this month ends. I've seen the instructions explained in this topic, but they don't apply to version 7.

I've tried to import the XML file by choosing the 'Import' menu, and I get a message that makes reference to a 'fatal error', but it doesn't explain where the error comes from.

Also, I don't know how to import or attach the DTD (Document Type Definition). I've been given three DTDs that I'll supposedly have to use for each XML file, is that possible?

Since I'm responsible for doing this without having been given any proper education on XML, let alone on QuarkXPress, I'd be very grateful if someone could enlighten me on how to import large documents with text and graphics into QuarkXPress 7.

For XML, you have to get installed a lot of 3 XT's freely downloadable from Quark's Website.

Then you have to open the appropriate palette for selecting the DTD first and the XML file then.

This said I would suggest you to buy Atomik XML Publisher (see Quark's Website). This XT is much more powerful, to what I've read, and even the best one on the market.

No not lazy, been searching the internet for hours trying to find that product in the first place only to come up with blank links and since those postings were from a year ago and considering how technology keeps changing I figured that maybe it was no longer available for sale.

That link works for me, but their store page says it is undergoing maintenance, whether using the direct link or the Online Store link from their home page. But their home page is fully accessible at http://www.easypress.com/.
