dannydoolittle:I installed Leopard a few weeks ago and needless to say, have all kinds of issues working in both Q6.52 and Q7.31. Have called tech support and they haven't been able to help. Went to the Apple web site and nothing there either. What's been going on is when I double-click on a file in either Q6.52 and Q7.31 it makes a copy. Have been trying for a couple weeks to find a solution, so there you go. Has anyone experienced the same issue? When I open while in the application, sometimes it does not make a copy. It's annoying to have to keep deleting the copies. And when I save while I've got a doc open the icon turns into a shortcut (has the little shortcut arrow as part of the icon).
I assume that you are working off of a server. I am having the same issue when working off our server. If I click to open a file it will create a duplicate with the name "copy1" attached. I can save once only, subsequent saves must be made using "save as". What is actually happening is that the first save is activating the "Stationary Pad" option, that can be seen by "getting info" on the file. If I uncheck that box the file will open normally, but the option will be re-activated after the first save. The only workarounds that I can see is to open files by dragging on to the application, or to use the "Open" command from within quark. This eliminates the duplication, but after the initial save you still have to use the "Save as" command.
For me this is a real pain. I am in the middle of making a server upgrade decission and Quark 6.5.2 is running more like a piece of demo software. I have Quark 7.3.1, but several extensions that we rely on are not compatible. We started testing this new server last week, and of the dozens of applications that I use, only Quark is causing problems.
You guys are really pushing me!
