    Maste Page Issue

    Hello,

I'm using Quark 6.5. I recently sent a job to the printer and the color bar on the master page "mixed" with the color bar on the regular page when printing. I didn't realize it (this was an old file I hadn't worked on) but the pages had color bars covering the color bar on the master page.

The printer said this shouldn't have happend but did - has anyone heard of this before?

Of course the purpose of putting something on a master page is because you want it on subsequent pages. Placing another element on top kind of defeats that purpose. If that element was going to be placed on every page, it should not have been on the master. What I suspect happened is the top bar on the page had a manual trapping of overprint applied to it. And it overprinted the color bar below.
