    Kerning and style sheets

Kerning has nothing to do with formatting. Since quark 6 I have tried to get quark to remove it as a local formatting item. If someone takes the time to kern all 1's and other items in text, and THEN applies a style sheet your get a + in the style. Sometimes needed elements in the style don't apply unless you option click the style sheet item. That REMOVES all kerning.

    Bad. Very very bad.

Kerning has NOTHING to do with formatting. Kerning is in units (percentages of the letter N in each and every font). So the units change in width depending on the width of the font. So, for the most part, kerning works no matter what font you use. Agreed, sometimes when changing from a very condensed font to an extended font, the kerning might need adjusting. But it should NEVER be removed by a style sheet.

Besides all that, if a person wants to remove manual kerning, most would select "remove manual kerning" from the menu!!!

Quark, any chance on getting this fixed?
