    How do I uninstall quark 7.1 on an IMAC?

    I recently had a new logic board and power supply installed in my IMAC by Apple. Now when I try and launch Quark 7.1 it tells me that Quark activation has failed. This is 1 of the 2 machines I was running quark on successfully prior to Apple's repairs. Quark site says I can uninstall and then reinstall the software without reactivating. I don't see an uninstall option on original Quark installation disk and can't find anything on the quark site explaining how to do an uninstall completely and correctly. I know I need to do more then drag the Quark App. folder to trash.

    Hi,

    If you need to activate the QuarkXPress, you can either get the activation from the URL

    https://store.quark.com/QuarkStore/Activation/RetActCode.asp?sid={B283385C-62DA-47D8-B5B1-80EDB44BFB2E}

    Or Give us a call back at 1800-676 4575.

    For un-install QuarkXPress completely  :

    1.Trash the QuarkXPress application folder

    2.Trash the Quark folder from HDD>>Library>>Preferences>>Quark

    3.Trash the Quark folder from HDD>>Users>>Your User name>>Library>>Preferences>>Quark

    I hope this information helps

    The truth is that you do need to re-activate QuarkXPress if you change the hardware of your computer. In order to avoid the hassle of a phone activation, you should de-activate Quark before your machine undergoes motherboard change, harddrive change or other surgical intervention.

    This option is available since version 7.02, it is named "Transfer licence", and you find it in the QuarkXPress menu (Mac OSX) or in the Help menu (Windows).
