ORTHOGONAL LINE TOOL - QUARK 8

Exactly how hard would it have been to LEAVE THE ORTHOGONAL LINE TOOL ALONE!  Why, Why, Why, Why are you messing with us OLDER IDIOTS who have been foolish enough to use your products for YEARS, then you change the tools on us!

I NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER used the "Plain" line tool, who wants to hold down the shift key all the time!  Was it too difficult for your TINY BRAINS TO THINK ABOUT LEAVING AT LEAST AN OPTION FOR THE ORTHOGONAL LINE TOOL? After using both versions 7 and 8 (briefly) I can't believe that no one at Quark seems to have enough Pride or Sense to IMPROVE, not REMOVE, tools in your software.

While I loved your product at one time and would defend it to the end, I shall not be so persuaded any more.  Even the version 5-6 transition I found rather smooth while some had serious problems. But versions 7 and 8 are WAY off the foundation of what made Quark GREAT during the 90's.

After logging some 20,000 hours of using your product, I find it more difficult to put a smile on my face when I show up for a LONG day at work using a product that I find diminishing in its value to a typesetter.  Things are NOT right at Quark, and I DREAD the day when the next "upgrade" comes!

Dave: Cool out, dude, you're going to have an aneurism. Although I agree with you about the Orthogonal Line Tool. Mark
