    Global color change?

Hello, I have a Quark document that is made up of many text and pic boxes. These are colored in black and magenta a 2/c job. I want to change the entire document to a 1/c pantone spot color and have no black or magenta used anywhere. If this was 2 pantone colors I would create my new color and then one at a time delete the old colors and replace with the newly created color in "edit colors", no problem. But because I'm dealing with black and magenta I can't delete them in the color editor. Am I missing something? Is there any way to easily change the entire document without going through every text and pic box highlighting and changing colors one at a time? Thanks in advance. PVP

    Hi PVP,

You can do this by Item Fine/Change.

    In QuarkXPress 8, click on Edit>>Item Find/Change

Choose box color and do change the color

However in QuarkXPress 7 you need to download this extension I.e XPert tools Pro from the Website.

    I hope this information helps

    Re: Global color change?

I downloaded the extensions. Then found that I had them all ready. I used the Find/Change extension, but it only allows changing of boxes and ruled lines. If you have black or magenta type and you wanted to change all to a pms 348 I don't see how you would do it. Is there another extension or tool I should be looking at? Thanks

    Hi PVP,

You can do that through Find/Change (Not Item Find/Change)

    Click on Edit>>Find/Change

    Uncheck ignore Attributes

Check color and change it from there.

     I hope this information helps
