    Here's a tip,

xpress is done, r.i.p. 1987 - 2009  , don't even bother counting on a v9, if you haven't switched to ID yet, it's time to read the writing.

OK. I'll ask the same question I ask of all who post this message. No one has answered affirmative yet. Perhaps you'll be the first one?

Since you are leaving for InDesign, can I have your copy of QuarkXPress? You don't need it any more right? So, no big deal right? Why would you want to keep it?  Since you have no use for it now.

    Re: Here's a tip,

I don't know why people bother leaving these messages. Do we go over to Adobe forums and make rude comments about ID?

It's about as useful as the silly old battles about Windows and AppleOS, and a lot less productive.

    PowerMac G5, 2.7DP, 8Gb RAM; OSX 10.4.11 and 10.5.8 (on separate drives). (Also a PowerMac 7300 that's still running Quark 4.1 on OS 8.6 ...)

    Re: Here's a tip,

InDesign is no better than Quark 8. I HAVE to work in ID as one of my clients requires his files in it, but it hangs and crashes for little reason, and struggles with font activation, etc., etc. It has a few features which work better than Quark's (eg Tables), but as a Quarkie I just love to get back to the familiar and straightforward interface of Quark, and v8 is a huge advance on v7.
