    Installation Error

    I'm trying to install 7 on a new computer and get this error:

    Error creating file.

    1008:5,-5000 Access denied error

     

    Next screen says:

    You do not have enough access privileges for this installation.

     

    This is a new 24" iMac running 10.5.7. I have adjusted privileges on the entire hard drive to read/writeon all enclosed items.

    Is it really version 7.0 you are trying to install? Version 7.31 is the first version certified to run on Leopard, so if you aren't trying to install 7.31 or later this may be the problem.
