    Embedding Flash files into site

Hi I am looking for some advice on the best way to embed flash files into a website and shopping carts that only offer input fields for images. i.e if i wanted to insert an interactive flash file as an alternative to a jpeg/gif . Thanks Ian

    Hi, Ian,

if the provider of the service doesn't allow you to upload SWF, then I am afraid it won't be possible.

You could check whether you are able/allowed to associate the JPG/GIF with a URL, which - upon being clicked - opens your SWF which resides on another server.

Re: Embedding Flash files into site

Hi Matthias I dont think there is a problem loading SWF Files from my server as i have just upgraded my hosting so I have a dedicated server that can run flash videos and more. The problems i am facing is integrating flash files with my shopping cart software. For example if i want to load a product, the interface for creating a product has a field for in putting a url to a particular image ie largeimages/crafttools/scissors.jpg but where flash need all the extra code this doesn't seem as easy as i had hoped. I did try embedding into html files? Ian

    Hi, Ian,

that's what I actually meant, if the software vendor or whoever created the template wizard you are using doesn't allow SWFbut only GIF/JPG then I doubt you can work around it.

Or do you see HTML code that you can edit?
