    Custom symbols Pallete quarkxpress 6

    Hello all,

Hope I'm posting this in the right place. It's been a long time since I've used Quark and forgot how things and hope someone can help.

I have like 10 symbols created in Illustrator that I will be using a lot, and I remember putting them in a custom made symbols pallete in the past which allowed me to use drag the needed symbols whenever I require. I will be working with many documents and this will help me a lot.

     Many Thanks in advance.

What you are referring to is a library. Import all the symbols in to an XPress document. Create a new library. Add each symbol (one at a time) in to the new library. Double-click on each item in the library and give it a name. Close the library to make sure it's all saved and then you can reopen it at any time to pull your items out of the library. You don't need to do anything with the document you imported the symbols in to as you now have them in the library.
