How do you make a loop of images to be inserted in a page

I am building a page and in the homepage I want to have a loop of pictures that start when you open the page, I have something like 10 pictures, I wonder if this is the right direction to go, I think I am doing a an interactive sequence at a frame rate of 15 fps and the dimensions are 562 X 456 pixels, any help would be appreciated, I have a print background so I am not familiar with some of the terms used for the interactive layouts, I know that this would be flash file that I would place into a an object box in my html site.

    thanks

    Found it, thanks

    Hi, Alan,

not sure what you mean with ID?

Anyhow, here's a simple slideshow tutorial, you can go more advanced if you like:

    1. Create an interactive layout that's as large as your pictures.
    2. Put one picture per page.
    3. Go to preferences and in Interactive Layout > Presentation. Check Auto Advance and Loop. Decide for a nice transition if you prefer.
    4. Close. Go to Advanced Layout Properties (menu Layout).Click "Share".
    5. Go to your web layout.
    6. Open Shared Content palette.
    7. Drag Interactive Layout out there into your layout.

Done. Export your Web layout as HTML and enjoy your Flash slideshow.

    Best

Hello I'm new to the interactive side of things. I'm trying to do the simple loop of images as you describe above. Heres my problem: When I go to preferences and in Interactive Layout > Presentation. Check Auto Advance and Loop. Decide for a nice transition if you prefer. The transition button is not available to me. I click on it but dont get any kind of drop down menu to add a nice transitions so I can only have images that jump sharply between one and another. Any ideas? thanks Ian

    Hi, Ian,

not sure what you see. It is not a button, it is a popup menu.

Can you post a screenshot please?

    Thanks
    Matthias

    Hi, Ian,

use a free image hosting service, e.g. http://www.imageshack.us/ and link it from within your post (using the image button) or post the URL.

    Thanks

Matthias I have deleted preferences as you've suggested and it now works many thanks. Another one for you if you wouldn't mind. The attached web page (imageshack link) is online and previews fine in Safari but on a pc it previews with the two text boxes that have been converted to graphic on export with grey boxes and also an illustrator image that are the exact shape size etc as the quark boxes on the actual document (see imageshack pc image) Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? http://img204.imageshack.us/i/safariview.tif/ http://img265.imageshack.us/i/pcview.jpg/ thanks ian

Re: How do you make a loop of images to be inserted in a page

    Hi, Ian,

when you say "preview", do you mean the preview function of QuarkXPress? What IE are you using?

I looked at http://www.headline-webdesign.co.uk/SPWEB/our%20services.htm with Firefox/Mac and IE8/Win and they look the same and correct.

    Thanks
    Matthias

Matthias I think you are right I have checked it on a PC too and it looks fine. I guess the screenshot version that was sent to me ( I got a friend to view it on their PC) must of had a problem somewhere along the line? thanks ian
