Yes, there is a workaround. You'll need to reactivate, but that's much better than reinstalling. Doing this will delete the activation files for both copies of XPress.
Quit your running versions of XPress.
Go here: Macintosh HD>Library>Preferences. Find the "Quark" folder. It is an "empty" folder meaning you can't see what's inside, but this is where the activation files are stored. Delete the Quark folder.
Restart your versions of XPress and reactivate.
