    font tool box

    Hi,

Sorry if this is simple. I tried searching in the forum but didn't get results.

I'm working with Xpress 5.0 (upgrading is NOT an option at this time). There was a font tool box where I could make multiple changes to text all at one time. The box has disappeared from my screen and I can not find where it is to bring it back.

Right now all changes are being made from the Style dropdown. This is much more labor intensive.

    Any ideas? thanks

By font tool box, do you mean style sheets? If so, click on "Window" in the top menu bar, and select Style Sheets.

    Hope that's it !

    Thanks - but not it.

Under "Window" is just things like:Cascade, Arrange Icons, etc.

Under Style I have "Character". This is the closest that I've found. This opens up a small window where I can change font size, color, etc. all at one time, but the window has to be closed before doing anything else. It won't stay up on the screen like the other did.

I admit, I do not understand the Style Sheets. I am taking such babysteps with this program, but they don't seem to be the same thing either.

I see that there is a forum for previous versions, maybe I should try posting it there.

    thanks

Do you mean the Info palette? The info palette has the X/Y coordinates of selected boxes. You can select text in a box and then the Info palette will show you styling options (Bold, Italic, Underline, etc) and allow you to adjust the font, paragraph indents etc.

Is that what you mean? If so, look for the Info palette in the menu bar (probably under Window). I'm not too sure where the exact location for it is in Windows as I don't use the Windows version of XPress, so you may have to look around. But it will be in the same place as listings for the Document palette, Colors palette and Styles palette.

    Hope that helps.
