I've been reading the quark forums on & off, and was wondering if the problem with text flow in quark 8 has been fixed?. Just don't want to spend the money on quark 8, if they still haven't fix this major error....................they've just lost a customer of 15 year's to Indesign if they haven't. I've wasted the time downloading the trial version but can't run the install as I get the message "Test Drive version cannot be reinstalled on this system". Is maybe because I used the quark 7 trial two years ago for testing.

yes, the shifting type-1 font issue has been fixed by Apple in Snow Leopard 10.6.2.

If you are on Tiger, Leopard or Windows, this was never an issue.

The Test Drive cannot be installed twice on the same machine, do you have a second machien you can try this on?

Hello Matthias, Thank you for the reply. I don't have a second mac for testing quark 8, the test drive for quark 7 was uninstalled about 1 month after installation (2 Years ago). As you can understand it's a frustrating when you can't test software before rollout across a company which can't afford loss of production time.

QuarkXPress 7 and 8 should use different license files, so in theory they shouldn't clash. Can you please send me your contact details via mail (please use the contact button above this post), maybe I can help sort this out so that you can test.

Hello Matthias, I've solved the problem by just purchasing a upgrade version of quark 8 as it's a waste of both our times, just to get a trial version to work. Many thanks for your help tho :) !
