HELP: Rules are disappeared after convert text to boxes

Hi all I am using Quark 8.12 american +, in window xp. I'm publishing Korean Language paper in Canada Due to language concern with web printing, I want convert Korean Language font to boxes(like create outline in illustrator.) but, when I apply convert text to boxes, all my rules are disappeared. I try rules, change to Em Dash (I made multi em dash, but after converted boxed, it reduced one) Is it bug or any workaround on this matter. thanks in advanced.

Rules will only be retained if you convert the text to boxes as "Anchored Items". Rules are a paragraph formatting attribute and cn only be applied to boxes which are part of a paragraph inside a text box. You can try this.

    1. Select the text that you want to convert to boxes (In Content Mode).

    2. Go to Item > Convert Text to Boxes > Anchored.

That should work the way you expect.
