I have Quark 8.12 installed on an Intel iMac with OS 10.6.2 with an Epson RX680 printer. I have printer color output problems--dark, murky prints with color distortion. However, when I print to a PDF file and output with Preview or Adobe Reader, I get beautiful, true color output. When I run ColorSync Profile First Aid to verify and repair profiles, I get the following message: Verify done - found 24 bad profiles.Repair done - 0 out of 24 profiles fixed. Is this the source of the problem? Is it possible or advisable to disable the Quark color management function? Thanks for your help.
