is this a bug: can anyone recreate this?

Hi, I am just wondering if anyone else has had this experience and whether it is something specific to my system or a more general bug. Highlight a short piece of text and paste (a piece of text you have already copied) over it. Quark hangs and has to be forced to restart. Q8.15 and OS 10.6.2 iCore 7 I Mac 8Gb RAM.

I tried the steps mentioned above, it worked.

It could be related to other issues that you reported earlier (you had some issues with text and font if I remember correctly).

I had major problems with Quark 8.15 on my new computer. I finally solved them, well at least enough to let me get on with my work, by reinstalling the system and working from a new user acounnt rather than the settings I had migrated from my old computer. So this is the first consistent crash I have under the new regime.

Please check for some duplicate fonts on the system. You may also want to try and clear the font cached, which is the culprit in such crashes.

The simplest test to conduct will be to reboot in Safe Mode (Hod the Shift key down while the system boots up) and do the exact same steps. Do let me know if it still crashes.
