I have a project coming up where our Management has requested we take a 9" x 10.875 trim size and reduce it to our normal 8.375" x 10.875" trim size to save money. This affects numerous books, most of which were done in InDesign. InDesign allows you to scale the PDF width and height separately so I was able to maintain 100% height and reduce width to 93% to get my desired trim size, maintaining correct placement of crop marks and bleeds. I cannot find this option in Quark, which seems to only be able to scale overall.
Of note: because of bleeds and specific printer specs, I can't make this adjustments in Acrobat. Also, changing the page layout won't work as the material on the page takes up the entire 9" of width. We used Quark 6 on these projects, but do have one copy of Quark 8 on a temp machine.
Any help?
