I am trying to convert a Quark 7.3 file to HTML without transforming the text to an image. I did try to go through InDesign by making the file compatible to Quark 6, then 5, and then 4; and then to bring it on InDesign. Unfortunately it didn't work quite well. It is a book of 400 pages which will be made to an Ipad application. Is there another way of converting the file but to keep the image as image and the text as text?

Disable the "Convert to an image on export" check box for all the text boxesto have them exported as text.

If you convert a Print Layout to Web layout, all the text boxes get this option enabled. 

Thank you very much for your quick responce! Now, i have disabled the "Convert to an image on export" check box for all the text boxes and it worked. But i have noticed that it changes the styles of the text in the boxes. For example if a box is rotated 90º it switches it to 0º etc. And also i can't select all the boxes together to disable the check box, is there any way not to do it separatly? It's a book of 400 pages... Looking forward to your reply!

HTML does not support styling like Angle etc. on text. If you want to retain unsupported styles, you must convert the boxes to graphics on export. You can select all the boxes on a page to change the setting, however, there is no way to do that for all the pages.
