I remember a post pre one of the several forum purges that mentioned the inabliity of v7 to distinguish between straight and 'curly' quotes when doing a find/replace.
For me this is major and although I'm hooked on v7.2 this particular problem is a real annoyance. As you mentioned previous versions can tell the difference.
At home I use 7.2 and since I ceased trading running my own business I don't do much by way of major work there, but here in the office (I'm a wage slave now) we still use 6.52 and frankly something like this, though it sounds minor, would make us hesitate to update to v7 sadly, in all other ways I find v7 vastly superior to v6.
Hope that fix is coming soon because I've recently been tasked to look at upgrading all the hardware and software in the studio and this will, of course, include consideration to update our 7 or 8 copies of v6 to v7, or to leave them be. My plan is to use the new machine we need as a test bed, with v7 on it, to make sure it'll play happily with everything we do, then roll out updates to all the other machines. Can't do that if this wee bug still exists as a lot of the large projects we work on require both straight and curly quotes and the only way to efficiently sort those is with find/replace.
