remove old 731 and install new 731: how?

I had installed the 731 update that was pulled (the bad one with the duotone bug). When I try to installe the new 731 update (not 7.3 but indeed 7.31) I get this message that I can not update.

How do I get this to work?

apparently the only way to do this is to deactivate quark, delete it, and then download the trial version (which is 7.31) and use your activation code to turn it into a full version.

Pain in the ar*e or what!

I am in the same position too!

If you downloaded the 7.31 updater that was pulled, you do not have to reinstall to get it to be the current version, although that is an option.

You can contact tech support and they will be able to walk you through the process, which simply involves manually replacing one file in the QuarkXPress folder.
