I am not an expert with VMs. However, I am sure that activation based copies of QuarkXPress will keep asking for re-activation as long as they see a "hardware change". You may have to use QLA based licenses where a central license server is able to serve licenses to copies on different machines...

Hello Juja, Please download and install QuarkXPress 8.15 or Later 8.x installers (free update for QuarkXPress 8 users).The crash has been fixed in the latest release.

Please select activate over the "web" or"telephone" from the activation options dilog. Copy the Installation Code that you see on the screen. Go to http://www.quark.com/products/xpress/tech_info/product_activation.html Paste the code copied earlier and generate an Activation Code...
