64-bit ready Apps

Postby GlobeandBuster » 10 Aug 2017, 03:16

Getting messages about App being 64-bit ready and may not be compatible with new IOS 11.

When we upload our app via the portal, does this not encode it using 64-bit technology at this point? Is there something we are missing? Any help would be appreciated.

Please confirm where the messages are shown. Will you be able to share a screenshot and App Studio Publication name?
IOS Apps created by App Studio are 64 bit and will work on IOS 11.

Hi Buster,

as Smdhingra pointed out, this should not be an issue.

Please check your app this way (to be sure):

Thanks

64 bit Support

Postby GlobeandBuster » 21 Sep 2017, 13:02

Can anyone give guidance as to how we make our App 64-bit compliant ready for IOS 11?
It seems we may have a big problem if we don't act on this. Is it something in App Studio we need to do?

Hi Globe,

yes, if your apps were 32 bit, then they will not run on iOS 11. As written before, App Studio apps have been 64 bit for a while, so unless your app is over a year old, you should be fine.

Can you please clarify where you see an issue?

Thanks
Matthias
