I am returning to Quark after a 10 year layoff (retired). Quark is faster and smarter, wish I was!
I remember being able to type in a chapter name, then apply to it a paragraph style that caused a page break and font, text, changes etc.
It would then renumber pages, etc as required.
My wife and I are preparing a book. I will be moving chapters around, adding some to the the end, and inserting new ones as the book progresses.
Question
I have found a special character that causes a column break \c, but need one that causes a page break. There used to be one? I think.
The layout that we want has a page with two columns. The new chapter page I want will, in addition, have a text box at the top covering the joint width of colums and gap, which will hold the chapter title. There will be many photos, images, footnotes, etc.
Yes I will have to create these boxes for each chapter, but plan to do this close to sending the result to the printers. Can you help please
