File will not load

Postby tufnell » 08 Oct 2016, 04:05

I am now using 9.1.

I use Quark to create booklets for CDs, and today I tried to open one that was last used in 2013, as the CD is being re-duplicated, and the inserts need to be updated.

The liner and disc label loaded without problems, but the 4-page booklet consitently crashed Quark when it was half-loaded. The same problem occurs with two back-up versions.

Could anyone suggest a possible solution?

With a new document set up the same/similar as the booklet, try to Append the document that crashes. Failing that, if you have a second installation on another computer, try it. If all else fails, can you upload the document to dropbox.com or the like and I can take a look see whether it crashes my system.

Oh, 9.1? I don't know what OS you are using, but on the Quark website you should find updates to 9.5.4.1 --> just in case this has an effect.

Many thanks for your input, Mike.

I just remembered that I still had an old installation of Quark 7 on another drive, and that loaded the file without any complaint.
