My computer recently crashed. I took it to someone to recover data. He gave me everything he could on flash drive. He's not sure if it's corrupt. I now need to install Quark on a new computer. I had version 8.5.1. Should I try to find a download for 8.5.1? Or should I download the newest version? Will my key from 8.5.1 work on the newest version? I'm also now putting it on a Windows 10 comp.

Hi tia,

you can of course install QuarkXPress 8 on a new computer. However most likely the new computer will have an operation system that QuarkXPress 8 will not support, so you might run into some issues.

Minor changes in the version number are free of charge (like 8.0 to 8.5), whereas jumps of the main version number is a paid upgrade (like 8 to 10). Therefore your license of QuarkXPress 8 will not work to use the current version, QuarkXPress 2016.

However we have upgrade prices available for users from previous versions. Give us a call please:
