Convert v5 file

Postby hubdawg » 23 Mar 2016, 16:48

I installed the 1.0 convertor. Threw this 13kb file at it. I still can not open it in InDesign or the 3 day trial of QuarkXpress 2015. It is a very old small file if any one can offer help this is the only item we need to be able to read. I am asking for a friend who is less tech savvy than I.

The convertor does not save a new file or anything. From what I know this was just a small text file and had no images or extra assets. Hopefully some one here can just show us what we are doing or tell us something.

We are just trying to save this old file. From a TV show that listed some of the show notes etc. If anyone would please have a go at it I would be glad to send a copy to you. This small 13kb file is all we have and it would be done.

Hi hubdawg,

On which OS platform (Windows or Mac) are you trying to convert the file?

Does the file have a file extension? In case, the file extension is .QXD, then change it to .qxd and the then try to convert the file.

In case the problem still persists you can send me the file? I will try to help you. You can mail to me at sinair@quark.com

Thank you for your response and interest on this matter. I am using windows 7 to mess with the file I also loaded the Quark 2015 3 day trial

and the 1.0 document converter. I have no experience with Quark at all. I did email you with a copy of the file and await any results you

can provide. I accidentally sent one empty email then I sent another right after with the file.
