Interesting read.
Are all the little dos and don'ts correct for the Quark versions mentioned? Thinking about certain versions mis-handling overprint in EPS ?
Up to version 9 always using postscript even when Export to (native-transparent) PDF, but Quark v10 not?
Am also disappointed that Quark PDFX-4 can not currently pass profiles through for
late binding.
On another note, I only read the other day that placing PDFX into InDesign then exporting to pdf ignores the PDF's output intent, long standing bug
I still think
early binding is the way to go for print, leave the RGB stuff for my photo library for screen viewing only.
There is also a lot of advice in the document that assumes designers are starting with fresh documents with a fresh color set up, lets face it 90% of documents are set up with out of the box settings so AdobeRGB and USSWOPCoated and am not convinced that turning it all to sRGB and ECI v2 is necessary or desirable, YMMV as they say
