Quark2015 and Suitcase

Discuss third-party XTensions® software for QuarkXPress 2015 and QuarkXPress 2016.
As the API hasn't changed between 2015 & 2016 versions, most XTension running in QuarkXPress 2015 should also work in QuarkXPress 2016.

We know they've started thinking about producing an extension. They mentioned it on their site.
Well, it's only two months since we started asking ... and an awful long time since Q2015 was announced.
Will anyone still be waiting for their extension, though? Or have they all jumped ship?

I've been using Suitcase since version 3, and they used to be so much more efficient!

Hi all,

Suitcase is now compatible with QX2015:

Thanks

Extensis point out that you should open Quark first and then get the file you want. If you don't it reports missing fonts (and they ARE missing).
NB - opening Q2015 first and then the file it still reports missing fonts (see screenshot), but opens with all correct fonts.
This reporting of missing fonts (which were not in fact missing) has been there for Q9 and Q10 as well.

Well... the Suitcase plugin has made a big difference in speed with some of our documents. Especially when there is a lot of text and there are boxes with runaround set going above that text. Prior to the plugin, when you had to move those boxes around, there was a marked delay in processing (I'm talking several seconds rather than fractions as it is now) which was intensely annoying and made for a lot of frustration.

Just wish that Extensis could have come up with the goods much earlier. But better late than never.
