epub - 'new article'

Postby GSB » 13 Jun 2017, 06:25

I am trying to turn a .qxp (2016) file set up for a physical book into an .epub file. Exporting it as an .epub creates two problems. One is that the each text section in the .qxp file shows up as 'New Article1, 2, etc' in the epub file as displayed in the epub-reader. How to label these pages into something more meaningful in the reader is not to be found in the manuals Quark has put out.
The other problem is that the tabs disappear in the epub reader. There is no reference to this either.
if anyone knows of a link to a video that shows each step that needs to be taken to resolve this, do let me know!

The tabs issue I resolved in the meantime.
I guess .epub doesn't recognise tabs and so it is a matter of reformatting the book with a first line indent and manually removing the indent for each instance where you don't want one.

The issue of renaming the .epub Contents page entries 'Article 1, 2, etc' into meaningful Chapter entries still stumps me.
Any help gratefully received.

3. Select New Article 1 and Click on Edit Properties
4. Change the Name as per your wish
