QuarkXPress 2017 just don't start

Hi,

I've installed the latest version of QuarkXPress 2017 but it won't open. Any idea how to fix that? I guess there is a file somewhere I must delete but which one? (The installation was made on a second machine, but it's allowed, isn't it?)
One more thing: I installed the 1st version some weeks ago and it started OK but ProLexis was not compatible then. A new version has been released and installed OK. And it works OK with QuarkXPress 9.5.
Looking forward to hearing from anybody :-)

please start Quark Cache Cleaner and check the option "delete Preferences".

Hello,

For me, a fresh install of the just downloaded version of QXP results in an immediate crash upon starting it.

QXP hasn't been installed before.

I'm on Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11.6, MBP Mid 2012.

Hi Matthias,

Thanks for the input. I've run Quark Cache Cleaner + delete Prefs but no fix.
I've sent the Crash report. The strange thing is that the date shows up 2012, a path to the application shows QuarkXPress 8… which is no more on that machine actually. And QXP2017 used to run properly at its 1st run some weeks ago. Very odd. To me :-)

I've just noticed QXP 9.5 was installed in the User's apps folder when QXP2017 is installed in HD's apps folder. But it ised to work OK at a time so not sure it has sth to do with it.

Could you please follow the steps below:

1. Launch Finder. Hold down the option key, on the keyboard. Click Go -> Library. Then go to "Application Support", then "Quark".
2. Delete the folder “QuarkXPress 2017”. Empty the trash.
3. Re-launch QuarkXPress.

Hi guys,

my coworker has got the same problem about 3 times since the first installation of the 2017 version : Xpress don't start !
We are obliged to delete the whole quark preferences folder to make the application work again. It'a problem because we have to re-do all our sttings. Do you have an idea of the cause of this issue ?
