2017 / Windows 10 / GTX1050

Postby pheh » 30 Jun 2017, 21:02

Long time user on MacOS but, decided I wanted to be able to use Quark on my Windows laptop after becoming frustrated with the laptop hardware updates from Apple.

Long story short, the scroll speed of projects that typically scroll quickly on a Mid 2012 Retina MacBook Pro (GeForce 650M), El Capitan are extremely slow and jerky on a Dell XPS 9560 (GTX 1050/running @ 3840x2160), Windows 10.

Is this a known issue? If not, what can I do to help determine if this is isolated to me or something that would be present for anyone on a similar configuration? And subsequently fix the problem.

Thanks much!

The same problem here.

I have dualboot iMac:
Late 2015, Intel QC i7 (I7-6700K) 4.0GHz/8 MB L3/PC3-14900
27" Retina 5K Display (5120 x 2880)
32GB 1867 MHz DDR3 SDRAM (PC3-14900)
4GB GDDR5 AMD Radeon R9 M395X
2 x 512GB SSD

When I boot to 64bit Windows 10, then scrolling in QXP2017 is extremely slow and jerky, especially when pictures are on the page.

I see that both of you are using High Resolution displays [4K/5K].

Have you updated to the latest update : QuarkXPress 13.0.1?

Ditto. Scrolling is still unusuably slow.
