Date and time stamps

Postby svsmailus » 07 Sep 2017, 10:00

Hi,

I need to be able to set date & time stamps. The date one I've sorted via the content variables, but the date does not have any facility to add the time. Have I missed something?

How do I get a footer that has:

create: 1709071558
modified: 1709071600

I want to know if a document is the latest version ad sometimes they get updated a couple of times a day.

Haven't missed anything. I do not believe one can set a time variable. It may be possible to script on a Mac using AppleScript, but a PC has no scripting at this time.

Correct, date (day) is possible but not time.

Thanks
Matthias

Vision's Edge used to make an XTension called TimeStamp that did this. Unfortunately, that company disappeared years ago and I think the last version of XPress it worked on was version 6.x.
