Rescue Folder for QXP2017

Postby MarkyBoy » 17 Apr 2018, 09:13

Hi there

Does anyone know where the Rescue Folder is generated to in 2017?

In version 9 which is what I used before upgrading, when QXP crashed it would generate a Rescue Folder on the Desktop from where you could retrieve the document as it was just before the crash.

Running Mac OS Sierra.

Thanks!
Mark

HI Mark--it's still on the desktop if/when Q is able to create it. As far as I know there are certain crashes that can prevent Q from creating it. I get the occasional crash when experimenting and I always have seen it on the desktop when it can be created. Been that way for a long time.

I also have backups turned on in Preferences and set to a folder in my main documents folder. I think I have it set to 10 revisions. I've never needed one of them, but I do like the assurance they are there if I ever do.

Thanks Mike - I must have had one of those crashes where the folder does not get created then!
