Install QuarkXPress 3.32r5 on Yosemite?

Postby Matthias Guenther (Quark) » 28 Sep 2015, 08:13

Hi all,

Vincent found a way to install OS 9 on Yosemite, so he can run QuarkXPress 3.32r5 together with Photoshop 3 and FreeHand 5.5.

Have a look here please:

Enjoy!

That's going back a bit - I started with Photoshop 4 and those other two. Still have the software, and my old PowerMac 7300 still has Quark 4.1 and Photoshop 6 on OS 8.6. Never got used to Freehand, though.

Hi Shaun,

my first combo was QuarkXPress 3.1, Photoshop 2.51 and Freehand 3.1. And the occasional AI88, CorelDraw 1.0 and PageMaker 5(?).

In Germany almost everybody used Freehand in the 90's, Illustrator was the odd one out, which of course is different nowadays ;-)

Regards
Matthias

Hi Shaun,

it still is.

Quark is an extremely lean product, excellent for people who need to move fast and very good for you, so much better than the competing products:

:D

Cheers
