Hello boys and girls! I'm BACK!!!

Hey IRA, welcome back. Congrats on the new gig... whatever does not kill you, makes you stronger. I barely touch Quark anymore, my office is attempting to stay Indesign only... but I am amazed how many of my co-workers think Quark does not exist anymore. Particularly when it took my 3 years to get t...

going from pantone to cmyk

Whom ever told you that using Pantone swatches is an acurate way of managing cmyk consistancy should be take to a convention of Prepress people and flogged for an hour with a cat-o-nine-tails... I DEMAND A FREE UPDATE TO QUARK 7 6.5 sux big time.

Quark sells software. It is amazing to me over 16 years in the biz, how many people expect any software maker to be responsible for its use. Adobe is the same... and I don't have a problem with it... I admit I was p!$$ed at Apple a few years ago when they were updating early versions of OSX every we...

I DEMAND A FREE UPDATE TO QUARK 7 6.5 sux big time.

Sometimes software is at fault... Sometimes there are problems with intallation and or hardware... Sometimes the problem exists between the keyboard and the chair... Hysterical rants demanding refunds or free future upgrades are almost alway coupled with testimonials for Indesign... Is there anythin...

Graphics Canada Printing Convetion

[img]../../themes/default/images/icon-quote.gif"> [strong]Bivouac Ponzetti:[/strong]You can't be serious. You may have meant this a throw-away line, but that's like saying that since InDesign doesn't run on a Mac Plus then the fact it does run very nicely on a G4 or G5 doesn't really count or matter...

Graphics Canada Printing Convetion

[img]../../themes/default/images/icon-quote.gif"> [strong]Bivouac Ponzetti:[/strong]Did you ask him if the transparency prints? Or if they'll be able to put live transparency in a PDF? I have yet to have a rep not dodge those questions. No I did not, He clearly stated that most of the "heavy ...

Graphics Canada Printing Convetion

I only got to see the end of the demonstation and sadly did not have time to wait for the next. I di however get a chance to chat with the Canadian rep. People asking specific questions got specific answers, the was no dodging aside from not being able to indicate a delivery date {or even a ballpark...

I have asked about Kieth a few times since the Foras return...no sightings so far. Many old regulars seem to have dropped out of posting. Lord knows I have little enough time to read, let alone post anything. I am more management than artist now so the day to day changes in software specs is less of...
