wow... so strange, I never experienced it... really I don't have a good idea... ... so a stupid thing, did you checked if there are some invisible chars which are ruining you search & replace? ... one stupid thing more, you already discovered the brutal solution... clean-up the txt Ciao!

I inserted in dialog of search string -> 01 and in the dialog of replace string -> __ This is the original text: Hose Rimini, sehr schmale Rhre, etwas niedrigere Leibhhe, gerader Bund. pls could you post your script and a piece of the text for search & replace which is giving you problems?
Just to help :-)
Had you tried to escaping with slash?
So to search */0* you should have to define the search string as "//0"... not sure...

Hi Jean-Marie I use them just for mostly for invisible chars so in the script I always see what char I'm treating. And, to be honest, also for some special chars just to avoid surprises using old T1 fonts... but having not deep knowledge about Unicode behaviour maybe this is a wrong habit :-) Ciao!

Hi Jean-Marie, I gave a try with xtags way, in a short view (but I need to double check this) it seems that if you've a stylesheet with a certain name and you import an xtags file which contains a ss with the same name it wins the one you already have in the Quark doc.
