Quark has done it again

I think I've answered my own question. v7 only works on Tiger. DOH! Now I wish I hadn't activated. Double DOH! I feel silly now. I go away.

Quark has done it again

I was really hoping that Quark would have it together this time. Won a free copy of v7 (thanks Quark!). Now if only I could get it to launch. I've installed, activated, and upon initial failure to launch repaired permissions. Still no go. No error message, just starts launching and quits before comp...

charlieartist: 1) The workflow you describe was not the basis of the original conversation. That's okay, I won't hold it against you. ;^P 2) I have tested the workflow you described. It works. Well, depends upon how you create the pdf out of Quirk. I made a verified PDF/X1a out of InDesign. Imported...

Indesign - Files from hell.

[strong]charlieartist:[/strong][quote:83e5123a38]If Quarked had Indesign, he wouldn't have to copy/paste in Quark

Only a suggestion, trying to cover every possibility.javascriptemoticon('')

[strong]charlieartist:[/strong]Jim, I'm in full agreement with you on the editing issue. Unfortunately, some of my clients/editors don't agree fully! In the PDFs you send, do you already have the job imposed to fit your printers plating setup, or do you send the job as individual pages with bleeds? ...

Upgrade of MAC QUARK 6.0 to 6.1 failed

'daleks rule' is correct. And this only the beginning regarding how irresponsible Quark has been in it's programming. The BSD Subsystem is not necessary for those working in a publishing environment and therefore forcing Quark users to install this part of the OS is stupid, especially as it could le...

should have responded earlier... sorry.

There seems to be a problem with Quark recognizing the system pasteboard in Tiger (10.4), that's why I asked.

Not too sure about 10.3.9, I've heard bad things and have therefore opted to stick with 10.3.8 until at least the first patch for Tiger.

Problems Downsaving from Quark 6.5 to Quark 4 over Quark 5

Have any of you experiencing this problem tried turning off the Xtension called "Table Import" in v. 6 before saving backwards? Just a hunch.
