Just about had it with Quark 10

omegaman wrote:...even version 10.
and that "even" is the sad part of it all.
Q9 runs circles around Q10.

Don't Upgrade!! You will regret it.

There is a trial version. You should always install a trial version to see if it is fit for your purpose. There is _now_ ... Quark ran an aggressive campaign trying to force old customers to commit to the Q10 upgrade without a chance to see it first. The upgrade policy was changed in wake of the Q1...

News about QuarkXPress 10

Am I the only one experiencing this? That would be nice (except for you I guess), but these issues stem from the software and are thus widespread. Any suggestions to stop this insanity would be appreciated. Stick to using QXP 9 and evaluate QXP 10 again when it moves past public beta (10.1 maybe?)....

QXP on big display resolutions

QXP 9 works on 2560x1440, so I assume it would also work for slightly higher resolutions.
QXP10 I could not care less about in its current form.

Quark 10 next update?

Remain weary Gilbert - DO NOT upgrade to version 10, the software is unfit for purpose - it is NOT usable in a production environment.I recently upgraded to version 10 and installed the latest patch but the software is not able to open legacy files without major issues regarding the re-sizing of im...

List of Problems!!!

8.5.x works alright on Mountain Lion. Some menus are buggy, but I'd rather use that than QXP 10 as it currently stands. In fact I do and our QXP 10 licenses are sitting idle until the major regressions are worked out. We will continue to work with QXP 8/9 and InDesign CS5/6 for a while to come.

Time Limit on installing Quark 10?

As long as you have redeemed your license/keys, you should be able to install QXP 10 at the time of your choosing. We have installed QXP 9, but have not installed QXP 10 and currently I would not advise anyone to do so, unless required or you like beta testing software. If you plan to use QXP 9 for no...

10 and Mavericks

Quick question - how does one do extensive checking and TESTING of all the compatibility issues without actually downloading the particular software? leave aside the extensive and start by a) a quick google search to see if your essential tools are known to work (I did and soon learned QXP 9 does n...

QuarkXPress 10.0.0.2 available now

... Best to stick with 9 for the moment ... this. I would have happily participated in a public beta to help weed out the major issues, but with a paid upgrade and the less than stellar campaign that forced us to buy into 10 without even a feature announcement available (Quark revised that policy a...
