Re: Multi-line Hyperlinks in PDFs

Thanks, yes, this is definitely something that's worth pursuing, if not for me, no doubt for others. This journal is a job I'm trying to bring into Quark from InDesign as I'm sure it can be done more efficiently in my favourite app ;) , but I need to resolve a couple of issues before I commit. This ...

Re: Multi-line Hyperlinks in PDFs

It seems I've been expecting too much of Acrobat. The problem is not with Quark but with Acrobat's preferences and editing functions. So providing a URL is converted to a hyperlink correctly in Quark it works in Acrobat. That's good news of course, but now I need to find a Quark Xtension which will ...

Re: Multi-line Hyperlinks in PDFs

Thanks Mike.

This is the result I'm trying to achieve, but it doesn't work for me, so it remains a mystery. I'll have to experiment further to see if I can isolate the cause. I note, however, that you have a hyphen in the word 'account' at the end, but hopefully that's of no relevance to my problem.

Re: Multi-line Hyperlinks in PDFs

Thanks, but I tried that too, and got the same result. Try copy-pasting the URL below and put it in a Quark text box and adjust the width of the box so that a forward slash is either before or after an automatic line break (and allowing no mid-word hyphenation). Then try converting that to a hyperli...

Re: Multi-line Hyperlinks in PDFs

Thanks but I don't have (and wouldn't get if I requested) permission to shorten the URLs. They need to be complete, both as visible URLs and embedded hyperlinks.

Multi-line Hyperlinks in PDFs

I have a journal which contains numerous multi-line URLs. However, when I export the Quark doc to PDF any URL which contains an auto line break with a forward slash either before or after it, fails to export as a hyperlink, with only the first line converting, so I get an incomplete link. Is there a...

Re: Select to Next Tab

Thanks but perhaps I should have explained myself a bit better. In the same way as we can hit Shift+Cmd+> to select a word, or Shift+Alt+Cmd+> to select to the end of a line, I would like a key combination to select everything up to the next Tab. I would assume an Apple script might be feasible, but...

Select to Next Tab

I would like to be able to place my cursor after a Tab marker and select everything in that line up to the next Tab so I can then embolden the selected text. Is there a way to do this?

Exporting HTML5 as Email Templates for Joomla

I'm trialling QuarkXPress 2016 and have exported a simple layout to use as an email template, specifically using AcyMailing in Joomla 3.6. However, when I attempt to import the template (as a ZIP archive as instructed by AcyMailing) Joomla refuses to upload the ZIP 'for security reasons'. So I'm not...

Re: Repeating Text in Step-&-Repeated Boxes

Thanks Erik, This is a similar scenario, but it's the text I want do duplicate automatically; I've bossed the sequential numbering. MS Excel has a formula which can be used to do this, but I doubt it could be utilised in Quark, especially since the text has several formats in the the same box. Maybe...
