Re: script for replacing images

Hi Jean-Marie

Many thanks indeed.

The images have the same filename, so image1.eps becomes image1.psd but located in a different folder.

Re: script for replacing images

Hi Matthias I am very sorry, I keep saying this, but some complex eps files are not supported properly - they cause all sorts of problems in performance and pdf output. I have sent you some example files many times and said this to you many times on this forum also. Quark Support have told me that t...

script for replacing images

Hi all, I have a document with over 400 eps images.... eps images are not supported in QXP2018 and so I have gone through the task of converting them all to .ai and then to .psd images. I have removed the old eps images and I wonder if there is a script I could run to replace all the eps images with...

Re: .eps versus .ai images

Hi Matthias Complex EPS images are very much NOT okay! I think you have been copied in with all the correspondence from Ticket #84582. A Palaniappan and Rajwinder have been dealing with this and have sent the issue on to Quark R&D - EPS also cause large problems with image cache and cause very poor ...

Re: .eps versus .ai images

Thanks for the replies, much appreciated and all very informative. The eps files were all made using illustrator, so if eps has these issues (as it's regarded as legacy), then I do have a few options to convert them. 1. convert all to .ai files. 2. convert all to illustrator pdfs 3. export them all ...

.eps versus .ai images

Hi I've been having a lot of issues with QXP2018 and eps images - Quark have acknowledged that there is an issue with large eps files despite there not being an issue in previous versions and are apparently working on a fix. Problems encountered are unusably slow speeds when working on the document ...

Image memory allocation

Hi, does anyone know how Quark allocates memory for images? For example if you use an image on one page at say 100% scale and then you use the same image in several other places at different scales, does Quark allocate it's memory for just one image or does it treat the different scaled image as sep...

Re: PDF export issues with eps images

What would be the difference between using PDF/X and using the default PDF - Press Quality setting to send files to a printer?

HTML5 export width

Hi, I am experimenting with the HTML5 features after watching the excellent webinar yesterday. When I start from scratch and use the desktop template which is set to 1080px width, I add some content and preview, the content is scaled and displayed at 717px wide instead of 1080px - why is that? Thank...
