Re: Returning to XPress

Hi Erik happy to hear you have a new job. I've been through redundancy due to company closure 3 times myself, but couldn't be happier where I've ended up, so hope it works out as well for you. Since version 8.5 its been really rare that I've processed production jobs using Quark, I have kept my hand...

Re: Option drag duplicate destroys object hierarchy

Re: IDML-Import -> profile lacking

I think Image Profile information is one of the things lost when converting indd to idml. I think when opening idml InDesign assumes images are treated as the Colour Prefences are set. I've certainly been gotcha'd by opening idml and finding clipping paths assigned to an image are no longer assigned...

Re: Moving from Mac to PC...

On the Plus side Microsoft Office docs will open up and save more predictably :D Dell Monitors ...

Re: File Converter Does Nothing

Open click wait click again? should open a Finder window then you select to the .qxd or .qxp file you need to convert, I have more success when renaming the legacy file with the dot extension before I try to convert.

Re: Quark2017 not printing a Quark8 Document Properly

no newbies can't save as vector from Photoshop (Photoshop Senseis could get vector's in and out of Photoshop but you are a few years away and also have absolutely no need to go down this route to solve your problem. Photoshop Senseis are also wise enough to know when not to photoshop and drawing rec...

Re: Quark2017 not printing a Quark8 Document Properly

I'd use Illustrator but pretty sure you can create those shapes from scratch in many apps. I'd create a rectangle with the radius corners and apply a stroke. Duplicate the rectangle and position the two, one above the other, you can then cut the path with scissor tool and delete the bits you don't n...
