Re: Lists and Table of Contents

Found a workaround for odd TOC orders. Just two levels in my TOC, Chapter Title (Chapter 1, 2, 3 etc.) and contents (Section 1.1, 2.1, 3.1 etc.) Anyway, in the TOC, on a few entries, 2.1 would be above/ahead of Chapter 2 in the list. Yet, in others, 4.1 would be correctly after Chapter 4 (but on a d...

Re: Index: QXP10, How To ? (Old Mac to New Pc)

I added my entries to the index pallette. But when I click build index it says no linked master pages exist to flow the index into.

Went to the index master pages and it won't let me link them.

Any suggestions?

Re: Index: QXP10, How To ? (Old Mac to New Pc)

Revelation: Besides me being a dumb-ass, I used the XREF xtension incorrectly to make the index with Qxp5. Cross-reference and index are two different things. I used the XREF xtension with cross-references to create the index, not an index function. I think that's why it came through the way it did....

Re: Index: QXP10, How To ? (Old Mac to New Pc)

Hi, Matthias, Thank you for your reply. Qxp10 is quite impressive. And your customer service was very helpful. The index I created with Qxp5.1 in OS9 using the XREF (3rd party) xtension came through the document converter then to Qxp10 as a static printed page. I tinkered around and it doesn't appea...

Index: QXP10, How To ? (Old Mac to New Pc)

Greetings folks. Migrating from Qxp5 / OS9 to Qxp10 / win7. Old mac is slow and old, worried about it crashing. And they wouldn't buy another mac where I work. So hence pc. For one thing, ms dropped mac support on windows servers I'm told by the IT guy. Anyway, already had the index setup using XRef...

Re: Font Question for You Experts (old mac to new pc)

Thank you Mike. After posting I tried to match the fonts looking at them on fonts.com The only one on which we differ is HvBT, I thought Arial Black was closer. But I can always choose std. Arial and make it bold if needed. Didn't want to jump in without a little bit of knowledge first. Thank you ag...

Font Question for You Experts (old mac to new pc)

Fun time oh joy. Been using Qxp on a Mac since 2002. Going from Mac OS9 Qxp5 to Win7 Qxp10. I wanted to go to Qxp9 but the boss wanted latest and greatest Qxp. Bottom line, have a huge 350 page manual with 8 fonts I'm not sure how to replace. Helvetica to Arial and Times to TNR etc is a no brainer. ...
