That is encouraging. I don't yet know what unique features of 2018 could be used but because we use Quark for a fairly straightforward village newspaper I fully expect that we can avoid using them so that we have the ability to exchange files in both directions.

Is it possible for QX17 to read files from QX18 and vice versa. We are currently using v17 but need another program for an additional computer as the users need to exchange and alter their respective files. They are in separate buildings. Re your request for info I was on holiday when then thirty days were up but on my recent return I checked the situation. Could not use Quark as the 'trial' period was over. Hi Matthias Thanks for your suggestion however this didn't help as I still had the same problem. Nevertheless in desperation instead of accepting full install to set it up I chose 30 day trial. Surprisingly this worked and I can now use the program in the normal way. I am concerned at what will happ...
