Re: Progressive Web Apps (PWA)

sent you PM with URL When I checked again this morning, I notice that the background color seems OK. Tested PWA using Chrome and FireFox browsers. However, the other (graphics) problems mentioned in the original posting above remain: missing thumbnail images and missing images (illustrations) on pag...

Progressive Web Apps (PWA)

Hi, I have been testing the PWA feature for HTML5 export in QXP 2018. The eBook project is large, with 282 pages, plus numerous graphics (mostly PNG's) illustrating the eBook's text. Testing, using a Google Chrome browser on Windows 10 desktop, can bookmark a HTML5 export of this eBook on an HTTPS s...

Re: anchoring HTML5 objects

Hi Sarbjit, I may have solved the problem. I anchored the slideshow, removed the button anchors and cut/pasted each button into the text as done for images. All items seem to move correctly when text is added above. So, this seems to work. Will continue to test and write back if the problem is not r...

anchoring HTML5 objects

Hi, I am using HTML5 objects, for example buttons, slideshows, MP4 videos in a project. I thought that adding an anchor to an HTML5 object like a button would maintain its position in a textbox (object text-runaround set to none). But I am noticing that if I add text in a linked textbox even several...

Spell Checking

Hi, Maybe I'm doing something wrong, or the Spell Checker in QXP 2018 (Windows) has a "glitch" ? I have some abbreviations, technical words in the project. I've set up an auxiliary dictionary. When I spell check, these abbreviations, technical words are flagged each time. I click on "add," and when ...

Re: QXP 2018 v14.1.2 (Windows) Kindle Export Fails

Hi Srinivas, Thank you for your help. For this non-fiction guide project, after checking several options for Kindle creation, trying to keep the most features needed for my project, my best approach has been to save as a PDF, then use the Kindle Textbook Creator ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.h...

QXP 2018 v14.1.2 (Windows) Kindle Export Fails

Hi, Book exports OK to HTML5 and EPUB, but fails to export to Kindle. See screenshot. The search for the problematic variable(s) would need to be in this 254 page book, so I am wondering if there is an easier way to identify these variable(s)? Also, I'm not sure what a document-level variable is? Or...
