import PDF issue

Hi all, I have document where I placed a pdf file (single page extracted from a larger pdf) and get some odd things going on. Hi All, Anyone with experience of that error? I can open it and close the file ok, but it seems to not repair that file as it keeps popping up. Then I tried a 'save as' and that seems to have sorted that error... Would be good to hear what might have caused this because it was a very simple covers f...

Re: Slow performance (unusable) compared to 9.5

Hi Mark, I have just noticed in one of my 2 large projects (in the last stage of being completed) that as I am removing some quick image edits inside Quark and actually doing those image edits in photo shop, the 'file save' times have improved a lot! I am wondering if you have used the Quark image e...

Re: Printing direct vs create PDF and print from pdf

Hi Chris, can you quantify the difference please? Compressions, artefacts, resolution, colors, or what looks different? Thanks Matthias Hi Matthias, Just finished my post and saw your reply now! Well, just running a couple of more prints off with that best quality setting, it seems to me that on a ...

Re: Printing direct vs create PDF and print from pdf

Hi all, I used to print direct to our Xerox DocuPrint 5005 (working in ID), and had superb results all the time between version of ID. Now in QXP 2017 I just tried to do some prints on the same printer from QXP directly and found that the quality of that was not what i am used to. So I tried to cre...

Re: Slow performance (unusable) compared to 9.5

Hi Mark, I also have issues with larger files and to me it seems QXP is really slow in rendering and scrolling, but I also found font software can make it twice as bad. I had remove the Suitcase Ext. to get it to a point of semi reasonable speed. I have not had the time yet to prep and send files to...

Re: Image corruption issue

Hi Chris, yes, please. Or make the JPG available please and I can have a quick look. Cheers Matthias Hi Matthias, I sent PM with a dropbox link. That is a bit faster and if that image seems ok at your end, I need to try and find another some others that gave me grief a little while ago, but I think...
